The Tutoring Center

The Ohio Valley University Tutoring Center is located in Room 42 on the lower level of the Isom Academic Center. Students can receive tutoring services during posted hours (or by appointment) for any course or set of skills (study skills, reading comprehension, etc.). The Center is open during the following hours:

Monday to Thursday   9:00am to 11:00am and 1:00pm to 5:00pm
Fridays   9:00am to 11:00am and 1:00pm to 3:00pm

There is no charge to the students using the services beyond their tuition.

Tutors are current students who have maintained a 3.0 cumulative GPA and have a grade of at least a B in the area they tutor. They are paid through workstudy and institutional aid.

Writing Support: Students can email a written assignment and receive feedback (not editing) within 24 hours. Students can also sit down with a tutor to work together on written assignments.

Study Tables: Supervised by a peer tutor, Study Tables are scheduled for all students on demand, including student-athletes. Study Tables are required for any student on academic probation or international students recruited through the Foundations Program.
