Vienna, W.Va.—Generous donors and matching funds contributed over $6,000 to Ohio Valley University in a 24-hour online, community-wide fundraising event on May 1.
This event, promoted by the Parkersburg Area Community Foundation (PACF), included 47 non-profit organizations. “As a first-time active participant, OVU ranked 6th out of 47 in total number of online donors and landed in the top 25% in total number of dollars generated,” stated OVU Director of Community Relations, Kay Grose.
“It was inspiring to watch the contributions come in,” noted Grose. “Our supporters are making a difference in the lives of our students. And our students are making a difference in the world.”
