The Bible Comes Alive: Life of Paul - Nov. 29, 2018

November 29, 2018  /  7:00 PM  /  OVU Main Campus (Room 139)

Presented by Jeffery Donley, PhD  |  see full bio

Saul of Tarsus, the Hitler of the first century AD, who became Paul, the Apostle of Christ—missionary to the Gentiles—is one of the most important persons in human history.

In this presentation, Dr. Donley’s primary concern is to portray the life of the Apostle Paul as set forth in his historical background and illustrated from the Acts of Apostles and his letters. Follow the journeys of Paul, beginning with his dramatic conversion, as he spread the Gospel through modern-day Greece, Turkey and to the ends of the earth—Rome!

In this presentation, Dr. Jeffery Donley will present:

  • a profile of Saul in his early historical and cultural context;
  • Saul’s conversion/salvation experience;
  • outlines and explanations of Paul’s missionary journeys; and
  • an outline of the book of Romans and 2 Timothy (Pauls’ farewell to the world).

This event is free and open to the public!
